One of the eight eyed wonders of the world ,with a leap envied by Olympic athletes. Most jumping spiders are small and live up to their name. They can jump!,and without warning!! as I found out first hand.
I squealed like a baby ,dropped my phone , and nearly wet my pants as it jumped towards me on our first meeting.
They don't build a web to catch food , but spend the day stalking their prey. then pouncing on it. At night they rest under a small web hidden under dry foliage .
